Pros:Bought this to use w/ a Sansa Fuze. Sansa players have nearly the same docking connector as ipods (but not electrically compatible). Works well for it's purpose: keeping dirt out of the connector.
Cons:It's a little 'thick' for today's thinnest mp3 players (like the fuze). It doesn't hold really tightly, but if you put it in 'upside down' it's tighter. Having a separate piece means I do set it down and misplace it once a week or so, but I've always found it again.
Bottomline:I like it, will probably buy a couple more the next time

Pros:It holds really well inside any dock connector. It will definitely prevent junk from getting inside my iPhone's dock connector making it more difficult to plug into.
Cons:There really are none. It seems like it might be a hair too long, but I don't care. It doesn't affect the function.
Other Thoughts:If you own an iPod or iPhone (and soon the iPad) you should get one of these. I once had something get stuck in my dock connector and it took a lot of work to get it out. The dock connector is how the phone charges, so it's very important to keep it clean.
Bottomline:Buy one for all your iDevices. You won't regret it.

Pros:Very discrete shape plastic made. Various colors available. I work on construction sites and therefore dusty environment, this iphone cap is very useful. no more cleaning of my iphone pin when connected to charge. Very cheap and its a must to buy if you care for your iphone as much as i do.
Cons:One main problem is connecting and disconecting each time when charging iphone. with time i hope it does not get loose. But this may happen after long period of use. I will buy another one...who cares! Very small and can easily lost when removing it to charge iphone.
Bottomline:Very reasonable kit to protect your iphone's pin connector. Looks like waterproof also in small rain. A piece of string attached to it will be good to avoid losing it when charging the iphone.

Pros:The little rubber thing plugs up the data hole in the iPod. I've seen some friend's iPods/iPhones get pretty horrible looking in there. This makes sense.
Cons:I haven't had it fall out, but I'm wondering if it will. It seems like the fit should be tighter, but again... It hasn't fallen out at all over the last week.
Other Thoughts:This thing is cheap enough that if you think you're going to get dust & lint in your precious iphone/ipod. Get one of these and try it out.
Bottomline:Seriously, do you need to read all the reviews to know if you're getting your money's worth. Buy one & try it. Worked great for me.

Pros:Very nice product, fits perfect my iPhone 3Gs, cannot get out without pulling it so there is no risk of losing this small item.
Cons:Abosolutely none. This product fits perfect the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3Gs.
Other Thoughts:Does not fit the iPod Touch 2G and iPod Touch 3G (I've tried to use it on my iPod Touch 2G but it kept falling off and the iPod Touch 3G is the same). I'm not sure about the iPhone 2G and the 1st generation iPod Touch.
Bottomline:Awesome product if you want to keep your USB plug out of dust and keep your iPhone's life longer.. Buy it now :)

Pros:The thought of this device was really good since I have lots of dust finding it's way in behind the screen.
Cons:Well, to start with it doesn't fit so well and if you manage to make it to fit you are running a big risk of loosing it.The material is somehow sticky and can easily jump out when the iPhone is in your pocket or bag.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline:This could have been a great thing for your iPhone and a great way of keeping dust away from the inside of your screen. However the item is not working the way I hoped. The dust protector can sometimes jump of when the phone is in my bag or pocket! And since the small size it is easy to lose one.Try it if you want but I would not recommend it.

Keeps the dust out

Pros:It fits in both the data connector for the Ipod touch 3g and as well as the data connector for the Iphone 3g.It does what it's meant to do, it keeps dust and crap from getting in which may eventually make its way to the screen (very annoying)It covers the dock completely theres no gaps or anything, and its made from soft silicon rubber so it's not going to mark or scratch your ipod / iphone.
Cons:the part that plugs in has a larger part ontop of it, personally its too large, this may be because the iphone is alot more thicker then the ipod.it's not very secure, if you put this on and put it in your pocket it will likely fall off the 2nd or 3rd time you remove it from your pocket.
Bottomline:The only way this item would be beneficial is if the ipod / iphone spends minimal time in your pocket, or if its in a leather case or a case that already covers the dock which may prevent the plug from falling out.Either way, at the price theres not much to lose, but this is certainly more oriented towards a iphone, not a ipod (thus the size).
