| Pros:The light is bright and has nice (pure) colours. Mounting the strips on a surface or wall is easy because of the brackets at both ends. | |
| Cons:Of the 20 strips that I ordered, one has three LEDs (in a row) of the 30 do not light up in red. Another strip had an internal short between red and green, so that driving the green LEDs would always also turn on the red LEDs (and vice versa). These strips have evidently not been checked before they left the factory. | |
| Other Thoughts:Each colour takes roughly 150 mA (at 12 V). The yellow wire is the common anode; the red, green and blue wires are the cathodes for the respective colours. Of the 20 strips that I ordered, 4 had different wire colouring (not yellow + red, green and blue), but the colour channels are marked on the PCB. | |
| Bottomline:If I sound a little frustrated, it is because I tested three strips, then went on installing all 20 at an exhibition centre, to find out about the two defects only then. But ultimately, I can only blame myself for not testing everything as I receive it. | |
