Voltages can rise above 12 volts and overdrive and overheat the LEDs.
If it is planned to use the LED board in this manner the simple addition of a resistor will protect the LEDs.
For this item a resistor of 12 ohms and one watt is advised.
Add the resistor in to the red wire

| Pros:the price is very good, and bright | |
| Cons:the adapter that i needed was not included, and the resistor is hard to find in the stores and online. 2 of the bulbs are different coloring, almost blue, while the rest are cool white. | |
| Bottomline:not too bad, good bang for the buck hopefully they one of the bulbs wont burn out on me. | |

| Pros:Good lamp. Just follow the caution for vehicle use. | |

| Pros:I have not purchased this item. It is similar to other LED boards in this style offered by DTW and there could well be the same problem. With proper precaution in use it should be just as excellent a purchase. | |
| Cons:The LEDs are liable to failure at the charging voltages produced in an automobile alternator. | |
