| Pros:Bright light, magnification is low enough that things are visible under natural light (so batteries are not strictly required). | |
| Cons:Batteries (AA) not included, hinged part detached ~3rd time I opened it (but was easy to put back). | |

| Pros:- fairly compact- can be used without LED highlight in daytime- scale marks seem accurate enough | |
| Cons:- build & finish isn't most refined, but it ain't falling apart | |
| Other Thoughts:I routinely use it to examine film negatives, scale marks come very handy there. | |
| Bottomline:If you see an occasional need for microscope, this one would fulfill it. | |
