| Pros:It is very very very cheap. A cool toy for kids if they can find somewhere to mount it, eg on the bonnet of a toy car they sit inside and move with their feet. | |
| Cons:This thing is more a toy than a useful compass. Firstly, the magnetic action is very weak, and is affected by practically everything in the car. You try and mount it within 10 cm of the side of the windscreen, top of the windscreen, the dashboard, steering wheel, anything and the compass is affected! Secondly the compass is not at all accurate. It is frequently 20 to 30 degrees out even when away from interfering objects. I tested this with a long drive and comparing the compass heading with what my GPS said. | |
| Other Thoughts:The bit connecting to the suction cup would be much better if it rotated the full 360 degrees instead of just 180 degrees | |
| Bottomline:Buy it if you are after a cheap toy, but don't use it to give you reliable accurate bearings. | |
not really worth the money or the free shipping |

| Pros:it is a great price and very simple clean design. mounted very easily on the windshield and stuck pretty solid. | |
| Cons:the only thing that really worked on this was the suction cup! The compass was very slow and would stick often -- many times I would look at it only to discover that no matter which way I turn I was still traveling southeast | |
| Other Thoughts:the old proverb "if it sounds too good to be true..." really applies here | |
| Bottomline:I have purchased three different compasses now from DTW and none of them were really any use | |
For old-school map users and gps haters |

| Pros:- keeps you on track- works very good(some cheap compasses out there tend to be a little slow when turning, this one is fast!) | |
| Cons:- after a year of use, the rubber foot doesn't stick to my car window anymore, i guess i will ducttape it to my car someday.- shows the direction you are heading N-E-S-W, doesn't show degrees. | |
| Other Thoughts:Ideal for when you don't want to use those GPS units because you think the government uses them to track you. | |
| Bottomline:You gotta love stuff like this, how can they create something like this that works excellent and costs so little!? | |
Doesn't always work... |

| Pros:CheapSmallThe suction cup works surprisingly well for such a cheap item | |
| Cons:Only works like 90% of the timeSuction cup left an ugly stain on my dashboard, took awhile to clean it off | |
| Other Thoughts:It works well enough, but especially in the car it fails a fair amount of the time. I would not trust my life on it, but would if I needed to know what way burger king was. | |
| Bottomline:It's cheap, but don't use it for long road trips or if you are in an unfamiliar area as you could get lost easily. Its price is good, but I wouldn't use it due to the fact that it could get you into a lot of trouble. | |

| Pros:Good visibility, sticks well to the windshield. Looks precise. The degrees subdivision is nice. | |
| Cons:nope, it just works. Unlike others owners said, mine sticks ok to the glass. It's a brand new piece, maybe the material gets damaged by the time and the sun. | |
| Other Thoughts:A simple compass which does what it should.Cheap. Don't expect to use it to do your Instrument Driving Rules. | |
| Bottomline:If you're willing to get a nice piece to complete your car panel set, here's one. And it even shows which heading you're going to. | |
