Pros:Cheap for a2dp.Detachable stereo earpiece.A2DP is available even without the 2nd earpiece plugged in so you can listen to any media from your BT phone/device/PC.Seems to hold its charge well enough but haven't timed it.You can insert the ear hook upside down and use it for either ear.Intuitive to use.Comfortable for long periods despite comment about looseness in cons below.
Cons:The electrical connection of the detachable ear hook with the 2nd earpiece can be a little buggy if bumped (momentary audio loss). Not much bass, slightly tinny but clean sound. Useless if you're purchasing for audiophile use.On the one voice conversation I had using it so far I was a little hard to hear while walking in a windy environment.Build quality is typical for the price, and the plastic smells funny, sort of like a greasy coating over everything, just don't sniff it and you'll be right (I hope, though I do fee a bit dizzy come to think of it).The audio alert to indicate power on/off can be quite loud when you're pushing the power button toward your ear canal.Signal strength is more or less line of sight - if my phone is in the opposite side of my body to the earpiece it has rare intermittent dropouts while walking.Seems to fit the ear OK but the hook doesn't follow the contour of your ear at all, can feel like it's going to fall out but hasn't so far. Might not be good
Other Thoughts:First off, I didn't buy this headset for phone conversations.I have a Nexus One and wanted a wireless headphone to listen to podcasts and a little background music only at work, so audio quality wasn't an issue in this case. I also prefer to just listen with 1 ear in my working environment. I didn't want an expensive one like the Motorola that couples with your ears and blocks other sounds (disconcerting and less awareness of sound around you).Problem: Most single ear bluetooth devices, both cheap and very expensive, don't support a2dp profile, and most bluetooth phones don't let you send regular audio output to the bluetooth headset service. This device will pair for both headset and a2dp profiles and switch between them automatically, tested on both my Nexus One and PC with a BT dongle.I'm unsure whether it mixes stereo into mono when the 2nd earpiece is not plugged in, I doubt it you probably just hear the left channel.Used a USB charger instead of the one it came with, most o
Bottomline:Now I can look like I'm a professional while listening to my phone at work, even when I laugh at comedy/podcasts it looks like I'm having a chat instead (if I remember to make it look like I'm talking when someone looks over).Would probably buy again if something happened to this one, there seems to be a dozen differently shaped ones from the same factory on DTW so you can probably apply the same review to many of them.
