Pros:Decent build quality. Not recommended for rocket surgery, but plenty good enough for kitchen, desk, and sewing scissors. These scissors are a steal at this price.Sharp as hell.Nicely designed. The spring action forcing the blades together means that you will never have a gap between the blades at the point where they meet at the cutting edge. This might also add some self-sharpening behavior.
Cons:Default open state means higher likelihood of drawing blood. Not for infants.
Other Thoughts:I received one orange, one pink/purple. For me, it makes no difference.I now keep a pair on my desk, and I use them constantly.
Bottomline:There's no reason not to have these in your house.

Amazingly smooth and precise

Pros:Beautiful smooth operation.Excellent control for delicate cutting operations.Consistent quality - I've ordered 6 now and they've all been perfect.Stainless blades won't rust.Easier to quickly pick up and use with one hand than regular scissors.
Cons:Not suitable for small children due to the sharp cutting edges, pointed tips and the fact that they are open by default!Plastic pouch they come in is flimsy and fairly useless.Need to wipe oil off before using on paper or cloth (only need to do this once, the first time you use them).
Other Thoughts:Have ordered a few now for gifts, and they've come in about 3 different colours. They are easier to use than I was expecting, I thought they might have a tendency to roll sideways, but this doesn't seem to be the case.Very handy to have in a first aid kit.
Bottomline:These are excellent value for such a well-made and useful little gadget.

Pros:Better quality than sku.21946, which corrodes more easily, and albeit dimensions of both are very similar, this one feels more sturdy and heavier, and the blades are broader.Very sharp blade, pointed tip. Goes through all reasonably cuttable materials, like paper, string, plastic foil, leaves, fabric, herb stems, candle wicks easily.Very good for applications, requiring frequently picking up and putting down the scissors, as picking up, positioning and cutting, putting down can be done in one sweeping motion, no need to thread fingers through handles, as with conventional scissors, first.
Cons:50% more expensive than sku.21946.Blades are open in resting position. Store scissors where you can see them for grabbing, as blades are quite sharp and pointy. The plastic sleeve they come in isn't of much use besides protecting other items from the grease on the scissors - they are well oiled. Wipe them before use, then you'll probably want to trash the sleeve. No leverage. Thicker or more sturdy materials - those requiring more force to cut - may be cut more easily with conventional scissors.
Other Thoughts:Of the 13 of these scissors which I have received as far, 1 was black, 4 pink, and 8 yellow. The blade angle is such that the scissors appear to be "self sharpening", as such they might keep their keen edge.Savings with bulkrate are considerable. Consider to take 3, 5 or 10. You'll be likely to find a use for them. People want them.
Bottomline:The more I get, the more people want them. Now also the lady at my baker's got one, as does my ex-associates ex-girlfriend's mother, and my childhood flame who I haven't seen for about 30 years wanted three. DTW delivered those rapidly, so I could pass them on, at which occasion we discovered that we share our liking of bicycle touring and campfire dough-on-a-stick :) I definitely need to order more scissors.

Nice. I like them!

Pros:For the money spent, these are great. They are a little bigger than I thought, though I really didn't look at the measurements. This is a sturdy pair of scissors, and I think will hold up very well for years and years of use. They are spring loaded, and open is the at-rest position for these. They are very pointed at the tips, and cut very well.
Cons:The case, while appreciated, is very flimsy, and would do nothing to protect someone from harm (those sharp tips!) if mishandled while in the case. I'm going to have to come up with some sort of tube or hose to slip them into after compressing them.
Other Thoughts:I think these would be great for all sorts of uses - hobbyist, sewing, fishing, survival kit, tool kit, glove box, etc.
Bottomline:Great pair of scissors, VERY sturdy build quality, a bargain for the price paid.
