Pros:The light itself is great. You get focus and flood and it can be easilt changed between the modes. The zoom reaches quite far and light seems very sturdy.
Cons:The build quality could be better. Mine had some chipped paint and the end-cap needs a thicker o-ring to completely seal the flashlight because once the battery is placed its not shut all the way so it needs another o-ring. The lens is not glass but i don't really mind it seems quite high quality plastic.
Other Thoughts:Some people really hate the squared focus but i don't mind it at all after all it serves a purpose to see what youre pointing at. If you can see it, then it works. The flashlight is a lot bigger than what i expected but it fits well in the hand.
Bottomline:Even if i knew all the cons before i purchased it i would still buy it. Its a cool looking flashlight very stylish, and quite practical. All the cons can be fixed to suit your requirements.

i own all single AA aspehericals, my opinion

Pros:1,very good value2,push pull flood to throw is siplicity itself3, build quality4,Very easy to use5,well styled, looks good with smooth straight sides(although this may not be very good for slippy hands) and silver bezel6,It can tail stand, not something that i care about but some people love it7, tight head, not wobbly like most of the others!
Cons:1, slightly blue tint to beam (exactly the same tint as the Q3 C78)2, push pull focus could be a little smoother, although its being a bit picky as its ok as it is3, flood pattern is not 'even' like others i have used, but mine seems to have a square hotspot in the flood which is very usefull even if its a floor, i supose the optic isnt as good as others, Throw pattern is fine
Other Thoughts:holster it comes with does not fit utility belts (Police etc)
Bottomline:as with most lights from DTW it is not perfect, but it is dam close and at $11.19 (about £7.50) it makes a £12 aa M*g seem like and expensive joke!I have this light, have had 4 Torch light C78's, a 3W generic Golden dragon, and a Romisen RC-29 from another site and this is the best combination of value/build/emmiter out of them all.the C78 has (in my opinion) the best size/form factor, and now they come with a rather naff holster as well, but the switch is very very bad, and 3 out of 4 had wobbly heads, one which like it was going to fall off, so i had to do the push pull mod (remove the head and replace metal guide with an O ring and vaseline) but as its metal to rubber it wont last long, and makes movement a little stiff.the 3W isnt worth considering, its head feels like it is 2 parts, and the beam strength/quality can't compare to a cree, if you wont spend over 10 dollars get the c78, although the switch on this one is a lot better. The RC-29 (about 16 dollars elsewhere) has awes

Pros:1) Smooth aluminum body.2) Can tailstand and has a bright orange clicky-tail cap.3) Has glass less, aluminum reflector (as far as I can tell), and does take 1.5v AAs or 3.6v-4.2v 14500 (tested with both)4) It does come with a good wrist lanyard (will fit around large hands easily) and a holster (very good quality nylon with belt loop).4) It is slightly brighter than my Dexlight (sku.2888, Cree XR-E) and is slightly less than my Ultrafire W5? CR123.5) Adjustable beam focus.
Cons:1) The glass lens slides side-to-side if you shake the flashlight. Would be nice if it was tight against the head rim.2) It's a pull-push type beam focus, which isn't great since a simple knock/tap will change the setting.
Other Thoughts:The tail clicky is NOT a GITD (glow in the dark) tailcap.Only some testing will tell me how long battery life might be.
Bottomline:Overall for the price comparing to other lights, I think it is a good buy. Quite bright and is very comparable to more expensive lights.
