Good as a reading light or work light

Pros:* Very affordable. * Very energy efficient. * Build quality looks good. * Doesn't get hot (of course). Should have a pretty long life-span.
Cons:* Not all that bright. * Light is very directed: painful to look into it but doesn't provide much illumination overall (comparable to a 30W regular light bulb, I'd say). * Light is too cold (for my taste anyway).
Bottomline:Be sure you understand what you are buying. This isn't a general purpose light bulb. It can be used as a spot light, maybe a reading light; or in environments where you don't care about "visual comfort", like in a lab, a garage or a storage room. Most people will (in my opinion) find the light too cold for use in a living area.

GREAT IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING

Pros:Great buy, excellent product and better built quality is imposible!.
Cons:Non, there is no cons if you know what you are buying.
Other Thoughts:Let me give you some advice... If you are looking for a light that iluminates your bedroom, this is not what you need. If you want to put a light located for a painting or on top of a mirror, this is what you need. Its great for localized spots like laptop, night table, hobbies table. I use it when I work because its a white light that doesnt produce a reflection from the object you want to iluminate, so this works excellent for tattooing and piercing.
Bottomline:White cold light. if you need brighter light look for 7w or 8w at least. A 3w light is like a 25w regular light and if you are used to yellow light this is totally diferent. I prefer white light, once you get used to it it more natural light.

Good for certain uses...

Pros:* Cheap cost* seems to be of high build quality* LED light looks more like moonlight thandaylight
Cons:* Low light* LED light looks more like moonlight than daylight* Can be very bright to look at directly compared to the amount of ambient light it emmits to the room. (distracting if you can see it directly in line with your TV or monitor)
Other Thoughts:I bought this mainly to use as a backlight when watching TV or playing games on my bigscreen, without hurting my eyes. Its perfect for this. The light is actually a bit brighter than I was expecting, since I have experience with LED lights in other applications. It spreads light well enough If you use 4 of them mounted from a ceiling fan that uses 4 bulbs to distribute light to entire room. Will not distribute to whole room with only 1 bulb. bright enough to be able to find small things in the room at night, but nowhere near as bright as a regular bulb. It can be somewhat compared to how bright a full-moon would make outside look on a clear night sky.
Bottomline:If you need about the level of brightness as outside on a fullmoon night, or plan to sue it as a nightlight, or backlight for TV/monitor, buy it. If you looking to replace regular bulb for something more energy efficient and need same level of brightness, I would look into something with more leds.

Nice light bulb

Pros:Very very good quality i was impressed by the bulb.doesn't look cheap .very good price i searched all kind of places this was the lowest price
Cons:the light is pretty weak and only from a short distance the bulb really "light things up", so that caused me a little problem and a bit of disappointment.
Other Thoughts:I should have bought 7 Watt maybe this will help me to solve my problem
Bottomline:depends for what purpose you need the this light bulb if to light a room forget it for lighting a desk to studdy great

Pros:- It's energy-efficient, 3W of power (i think?)- The white light is unnatural- It fits in the lightbulb socket
Cons:- Feels like it's going to fall apart- Apparently the LEDs are in circuit, so if one breaks, it stops working altogether- The white light is unnatural (yes, a pro and a con)- Produces a straight beam of light, needs something to spread it around to light the room, unless using as a study light?
Other Thoughts:Well, atleast it's enviromentally friendly
Bottomline:Doesn't really do anything better than the incandesent or regular lightbulb, but it's alright as a backlight for example when watching the TV.
