| Cons:Marked barrel distortion in imageFitting the lens is easy in theory but harder in practice.Focusing the lens is time consuming and hard on the fingers. | |
| Other Thoughts:This replacement lens, which I use on my Foscam network IP camera, gives a markedly wider field of view but at the price of marked barrel distortion (straight lines bend inwards). Ther original lens unscrews easily but fitting the new lens is tricky because it is smaller in size and hard to grip. It is crucial to take care and ensure the lens is screwed in exactly straight. The screw thread is tiny and, I suspect, easily stripped if inserted off center. So be careful. To focus the new lens it needed to be screwed in very tight, as far down as possible, and this is hard on the fingers as the thread is very tight and the lens small and hard to grip. | |

| Pros:I used this lens with a very cheap logitech webcam. The original image quality was very very poor, the image was very dark, with lots of grain due to the poor quality plastic (I guess) optics. When I put this lens on the webcam the difference was astronomical! it now has better quality than most of the very expensive webcams! And I can even focus it on very VERY small distances to take a huge macro shot of the tip of a pen.. Also the build quality is very good, very sturdy. it's made of metal | |
| Cons:none really.. except that when it says wide angle, they don't mean it on the small sensors of cheap webcams, so the field of view was just like it was before | |

| Pros:If you own a foscam or any foscam-like camara this is a must! the original lens is way to close up for security or even a small room. this lens widens the view angle by double.i cant speak for other camaras but it improved mine alot | |
| Cons:kinda tricky getting it in because it has no hand grips like the original lens in my foscam, and you have to tighten it pretty far inside. but its not hard.Little bit of a roundness to the image but much better then the original lens | |

| Pros:* Good quality* Enhances vision by providing more visual space* Easy to install* Interchangeable with older lens in case you want to use as normal webcam | |
| Cons:* As someone mentioned before, it distorts the image a bit, but it is not a major concern if you want to use your webcam as a security cam. It still holds plenty of detail and is very useful. | |
| Other Thoughts:A necessary buy for someone who wants to turn their webcam into a security camera and they have a large are to cover. It may cost you a few dollars less, but in the end it saves you from installing a second camera to cover the same area. | |

| Pros:Screws right in! I have a foscam security camera and it works like a charm. Drastically widens viewing angle and increases image clarity. | |

| Other Thoughts:When looking through the lens with the naked eye, you can see imperfections in the glass. These do not effect the picture quality once installed though. Tried with foscam and webcam and results were nothing short of beautiful. Good job deal extreme!!!!!!!! | |
