| Pros:Great signal, You could use a better external antenna if you wanted to with it as well. Woks great with Windows using the drivers included. As a heads up the driver disc is one of those smaller disc so if you have a laptop with a car type insert cd drive it won't work. | |
| Cons:Not exactly plug and play with windows, you will still have to do driver install. With Ubuntu 9.10 on two separate machines I was able to make it work by a very simple method. Go to terminal. Type "sudo gedit" it will ask for your password. Once in the text editor click open file, then browse to the root directory then the "etc" folder then the "modprobe.d" folder then open the file called "blacklist.conf" go to the very bottom of the text file and add two lines "blacklist rt2800usb" and "blacklist rt2970sta", then save the file. Restart and TADA! it'll work. This works with 9.10 on two very different machines. | |
| Bottomline:Great adapter, i would recommend getting a usb extender on here with it if your space is tight around your usb ports. This thing is thick and well made, so it takes up some space. Sometimes it can block the port right next to it. | |

| Pros:This adapter works much better (less connection problems) than some high power adapters I have with larger antennas. My access point is a mile away, and I get great connection with this card (under linux)The device for me is ra0, not wifi0, it is a different chipset from many cards. | |
| Cons:Not many, cannot set the tx power under linux, but apparently I get great reception reguardless. | |
| Other Thoughts:I use a usb extension cable so I can mount it high up above my netbook. | |
| Bottomline:Get a few of these, it is the best usb wifi adapter I have (even including $30 and $40 units) | |
Very good product |

| Pros:fantastic quality, built really well, 80% signal strength with 2 walls in between the pc and the router. Very happy with this and would recommend to anyone. | |
| Cons:Could be a little smaller, but thats hardly a con when it is in the back of the pc and cannot be seen. | |
| Other Thoughts:great quality unit, not the cheapest on DTW but i reckon this would be better then anything around the same price bracket. | |
| Bottomline:get it if you need a wireless usb adaptor with very good signal strength. Much better then an internal pci adaptor. | |
Works great |

| Pros:Build quality is surprisingly good. The adapter feels well built and has a good finish. Detachable antenna is a plus. Well supported chipset, works out of the box on my Ubuntu setup. No connection problems at all during my month of ownership. | |
| Cons:It's a bit big, on my PC it obstructs four USB-ports if I connect it directly. Had to use a short extension cable to be able to use the other ports. | |
| Other Thoughts:I bought this specifically for use with Linux and I'm not disappointed. | |
| Bottomline:Very good value for money. Not the smallest, but I don't care when it works as well as it does. | |
