Pros:Seemed like a great idea to expand my Macbook's two USB ports. The mini-USB connector seemed perfect for my external hard drive. Can't go wrong with the price, or so I thought...
Cons:It may be my Macbook that's not providing enough power, but this thing won't run any useful amount of devices. Usually, with just two ports, I run an external hard drive on one port, and something else (32GB USB key, keyboard, whatever) on the other port. With this hub, even two devices that would normally work have trouble and drop off intermittently.I had a keyboard plugged into one port and was pulling pictures off my Canon SD600 camera. Both devices dropped off USB for about 30secs, and now my camera won't connect to any machine over USB. I'm kinda pissed, even though it was an old camera and I've been meaning to get a new P&S.Plastic molding on connectors isn't great. The metal edges of the connectors themselves aren't protected in any way and will get damaged by poor insertion or careless storage.
Other Thoughts:What's a good SDHC card reader? Heh...
Bottomline:Great idea but either crappy design or simply incompatible with my Macbook and Canon SD600 (both USB-compliant, non-$5-Korean-knockoff devices).

Great USB 2 hub for portablelaptop needs!

Pros:+ I bought this to expand my laptops' 4 USB ports because one's permanently playing host to a wireless micro receiver and I frequently use another for a bluetooth adapter.+ Instantly identified and Plug n Play ready+ Definately USB 2.0+ USB mini is perfect for my external 2.5" HDDs and USB A female for USB sticks+ This hub is a perfect replacement for all the USB leads that I previously had to carry.+ Cable style assists convenient arrangement, particularly for awkward or bulky devices+ Supplies 1 amp (with both cables connected) to feed power hungry USB powered devices - can easily supply external 2.5"3.5" HDD PLUS several USB sticks simultaneously - how many ISOs you need loaded at once? ;)+ The price man, check the price! It's only $5.30, similar items go for $20 - $30!
Cons:- Although this hub's fairly compact, the main body part is slightly more bulky than I expected but I don't really care because it trumps carrying all those cables I used to have; THAT was bulky.
Other Thoughts:When you order this you should also grab sku 26780 and a couple sku 441 - they're very cheap and small, you'll be glad you did when you wish to connect several things through this hub at once.
Bottomline:Got lotsa stuff queueing up for your limited number of sockets? Grab yourself this little sexapus and cram them all in at once!

Pros:Really great gadget! My laptop provides only 700ma which is not enough for my iPhone (requires about 1000ma). I had the always carry a powered hub (not that great when no AC power). But this works like a charm!
Cons:It clips. I would say about an hour or two of use, it shutdown and come back up 2 seconds after. There is a little red led that tells you when the powewr is good
Other Thoughts:Great for iPhone, portable usb powered HDD, and all other charging device.
Bottomline:Wow, for extra usb power buy it right now

Great deal, go for it!

Other Thoughts:

Pros:Good packaging.Power for various devices.Comes with a MINI-Usb so I can charge my phone with this.
Cons:Comes with a Mini-USB. I expected four standard USBs when I purchased this. It was purchased to charge my electronic cigarettes batteries four at a time. Now I have to find a mini-usb to standard usb adapter to do so.
Other Thoughts:If you need an USB hub with high power output, get this. But keep in mind that you have only three real USB, and one mini-USB, if you need four standard USB ports you will need an adapter for the fourth port.
Bottomline:Works.
