Pros:THE PRICE!Something like this would cost at least NZ$45. This cost me NZ$15.It may not be as well engineered as the more expensive crimpers, but it does the job, does what you want it to and well, simply works. The cutter is sharp and actually works! this surprises me. In my experience, almost EVERY integrated wire cutter/stripper on some form of tool has been absolutely useless next to a pair of side cutters. The blade is straight and is great for getting the right cable lengths before sliding them into the plug.Nice and heavy, look like they will last for a good while. All the woprkings are solid metal, the only plastic parts are the handle covers, which aren't at all needed for full operation (should they break off)
Cons:Not a ratchet-type device, though this doesnt surprise me at all. I wouldnt get a ratchet-type crimper for three times the price in new zealand, anyway. Also, I dont see the need for a ratchet crimp on a RJ45 plug. It's needed imo for the stronger types of plugs, like RG6/RG59 etc. Pressing pins into plastic doesnt take much strength.
Other Thoughts:Not really suitable for professional use, though I dont see many professionals using one of these types of crimpers (I'd imagine them to use the easier/faster punch-down crimpers).
Bottomline:If you want to run a few leads around your house (or need some patch cables) and dont want to spend nz$20 (US$13) on a 5 metre overpriced premade cable, buy these. They will pay for themselves faster than you know it.They arent too suitable for CAT6 installations, but I dont see many home users needing CAT6- CAT5e is fine for 10/100/1000mbps ethernet.

WORKS WELL FOR SOHO

Pros:You must consider this is not a Pro Tool. But it has a great price and if you don't crimp a massive amount per day it will not matter you.Is a mix of Metal and Plastic. But don't think it make it weak. It's strong, rought and ligth. It does it job well. You don't need to be strong for crimp, it makes it easy. For a light use 5, 10 cables crimped by week it's great. And it's cost a half than others.
Cons:No one yet.
Other Thoughts:Build-in blades are a good help. You don't need a cable cutter, because it could do it good enought.
Bottomline:Good tool, good price. Good purchase. At this price is a good idea to have one at home.

Awesome product

Pros:-Made of tough metal-Thick rubbery grips for comfort-Crimps RJ-11, RJ-12 and RJ-45-Good build quality-Really easy to use-Cheap price VS the one in store
Cons:-Integrated blade is dangerous, you may cut yourself if you don't pay attention-The tool has no closed/lock position
Other Thoughts:I really like that product, It's solid, however I took the little blade away because my friend didn't pay attention when getting it from the bag and accidentally cut himself. Definitely worths the buy if you're into making network cables.
Bottomline:Professional tool, Good quality,I would recommend getting this if you're into cable making, but consider removing the blade.

Works fine

Pros:-Cheap-Does what it is supposed to do-Decent quality-It has a build in cutter
Cons:-Mine has a very strong chemical smell probably from the plastic that after lying in the open air for several week still has not disapperad. When using it it gives me headaches and it is certainly bad for your health to breath it. Even after touching the handles on it to crimp just one cable, my hands gives of the smell even after washing.
Other Thoughts:I have used it on sku.2675 and it works well.
Bottomline:Very good crimper for the price, except for the chemical smell mine gives of

Good price and quality around the whole world

Pros:the crims that i have bought here the 100pcs are great on these cutter :)- Easy to use, and works great.- It has a good grip, and seems to be of a good build quality.- The cable stripper works!and These things cost four times more in Beglium. And I've used it to crimp a couple of broken RJ45 cables. It seemed to do the job quite well. The tool is also very sturdy especially for the price.
Cons:I dont have a con the product is so good:-)
Bottomline:I cant work without them, thank you dealtoworlde
