| Pros:This unit is perfect for automotive application if you can tweak a little bit. It has rectifier which makes the unit usable for AC. And in addition it also makes it non-polarized for input. That is... you don't have to find out which is positive and which is negative for the input. (you still need to consider that for output, though). The problem is that it generates huge amount of radio interferrence, so that the FM radio is no longer audible. What you have to do is to remove the diode bridge rectifier and connect + to + and - to -. In my unit the rectifier had "MBS6" label on top and + and - indicator. I simply cut the legs and soldered small piece of metal legs from spare resistors. Then the radio interference disappeared completely. You now have to make sure the polarity of input, though. It is running perfectly and driving two red CREE LED in serial without any problem. | |
| Cons:None unless you mind soldering. | |

| Pros:The new batch seems to be of much better quality - the wires are soldered much better and look a bit thicker with soft insulation. | |
| Cons:Short wires, about 4.5 cm | |
| Other Thoughts:Works very well with 1 W White LED from eBay seller SureElectronics coupled with SKU.12436 | |
| Bottomline:As I said before - buy as much as you need of these, they are pretty useful. I will buy more whenever I need them, noone can beat this price.Line added for 500 chars compliance.Line added for 500 chars compliance.Line added for 500 chars compliance. | |

| Pros:Small and lightweight, looks like GU10 compatible. Polarity independent - it has a bridge rectifier so you can use even AC source (adapter or transformer). Good to drive 3-4 LEDs in series either in the car or some discrete spotlights in the living room. | |
| Cons:Short and thin wires, both tore apart from the soldering pads while I was testing some reflectors and diffusers. | |
| Other Thoughts:This one was for testing purposes only. I will purchase some more when I decide where the lights will be placed. | |
| Bottomline:Buy it, deserves the price when you have in mind that 1 piece could drive up to 4 LEDs (in series) if you have 16 V power source. | |
