| Pros:--- Low consumption--- Small, much easier to use in electronics than an power led--- its pure red, and every single one emmits the same color, unlike in bullbs wich tend to very from one to another.--- Long life time, if it is not overheated, it can be used for a very long time. | |
| Cons:--- Bright but you can't even compare to a 1 watt led.--- Hard to use, either you have to drill 5mm holes and glue them or solder into a printed circuit board, sometimes it's very hard to do simple thing with them because of the risc of shorting the circuit.--- can't withstand heat, it kills leds and they all die quickily and together. | |
| Other Thoughts:--- Nice color for modsd or for bargraphs. usually too bright for using in places need to sleep, like stand by in tv's and stuff. | |
| Bottomline:--- Very good price, I would buy more if I needed | |

| Pros:- Its only 5mm thick.- Its a nice red- great for using with controller mods- has long and short leg to tell which is positive and negative | |
| Cons:- Dont shine real bright- these may be too big for certain uses other than that no cons what so everSory DTW 500 charater limit. none none none none none none none none none none none | |
| Other Thoughts:they should sell more than 10 in a pack. Maybe 50 leds with a nice DTW price | |
| Bottomline:If you need some red leds for cheap BUY IT NOW you won t find these any cheaper. What are you waiting for? Get these | |

| Pros:Cheap Red LEDS2-odd volts inputNot blindingly brightNice long legs allow easy mounting | |
| Cons:May not be bright enough for some desired usesDirectional IE much brighter head on than from the side (not a con really, just inherent in this type of emitter) | |
| Other Thoughts:Cheap LEds, use em for all sorts of projects. For example, make a sandwich of cr2016 battery and rare earth magnet.Tape together firmly and lob gently at metal structures way up high, so the magnet sticks to it. Now you have an annoying red light out of reach of everyone and they will HAVE to know what it is, in case they should be worried =D | |
| Bottomline:If ya need red leds, get these instead of the one from a certain stateside 'Shack" | |
Better suited to indicator lights. |

| Pros:Cheap.DTW is a convenient place to get these. | |
| Cons:Dimmer than its blue and white counterparts. | |
| Other Thoughts:Sick of the short runtimes of white LED keychains driven off 2x2016, I got some of these red LEDs and have driven them off one 2032. While I haven't used the keychain(s) long enough to determine the runtime, I can report that the brightness is disappointing. A red power LED when driven to spec is of similar brightness to a white power LED and the blue 5mm LEDs on DTW aren't too far off the white 5mm LEDs.These red LEDs however are dimmer than white or blue which is disappointing, but they are still useful even if their lumens per watt rating is from 5 years ago. I tried these on 6V too and they are still just as dim. | |
| Bottomline:Dim for lighting purposes but where else are you going to get these? | |
Nice red leds |

| Pros:These are nice red leds for your DIY projects. They are not so very bright but should be okay for many DIY projects. The build quality is just like with any other leds, so you can't really go wrong buying these. | |
| Cons:There are really no cons - just remember to use a suitable resisitor with these. Use www.ledcalc.com to calculate a suitable resistor Ohm value. | |
| Other Thoughts:Buy these if you need red leds for some projects, or buy them for the future -always good to have some leds | |
| Bottomline:Nice red leds. Not super ultrabright but definitely brigter than regular red marking/information leds. | |
