Pros:Very very very very cheap for a device like this. European prices for this devices are around 25 euro's.Did work on all motherboards i've used it on so far.Can be usefull for debugging POST (Power On Self Test) problems.
Cons:The text on some IC's was scratched off and some of them were sticky.. I wonder why?The manual is in broken English. Useable but you have to think out of the box sometimes to understand what they want to say. ;)The manual does not have all codes, but most of the other codes are also manufacturer-specific.
Other Thoughts:Would be nice if they would make a model with the LCD screen on the other side of the board, or 'flipped' horizontally so it's easyer to read.
Bottomline:Nice buy, very usefull. I got 3 of them, one at home, one at work and one if one ever fails.

Pros:Works on all old and new motherboard. dont talk about ISA motherboards.Easy to useJust plug and play.
Cons:The manual contains broken english. Please provide a good english manual next time.It doesnt detect other issues like voltage instability.
Other Thoughts:This card does your computer POST test through the PCI slot by identifying the error based on the number codes the PCI card will print out with the LED.
Bottomline:Buy it if you need it. If not it'll be in the junk in no time.Don't buy it just to own it. Save your money for better stuffs.

These should be sold with all computers.

Pros:If I could give 6 stars for price I would - this has saved me a ton of trouble and money, though there were some things that could have made it easier to use.
Cons:The code interpretation booklet is not always clear, and I saw a couple codes that weren't in it.
Other Thoughts:When plugged in, this faces downwards, which makes it difficult to read in some cases (literally, some computer cases). Also, some codes flash by so fast during boot up that they can't be read - while this is fine most of the time, there are cases where the last code (the one that freezes the system) isn't the one I need to see.
Bottomline:Still, it does it's job, and it's cheaper than any cards they sell around here by a lot.

Pros:This perfect little thing helped out quite a bit when my family's PC had a boot failure just last week!First it told me that the power supply was on it's last legs, then it alerted me to the CPU not being properly seated.
Cons:Code readout is facing down on most Motherboard layouts and I had to use my compact mirror to read it. Other than that it's great!
Other Thoughts:Some of the codes it gave me I had to look up on the internet for more information. It wasn't a problem for me, but it might be for someone who is fixing a computer and they don't have access to a second computer for research into the problem.
Bottomline:For budding Computer techies this thing is a must!

Pros:Works well with 2 motherboards.ASUS: K8N-E Deluxe, P5K-VM.
Cons:Don't show anything on generic motherboard.Brand: Phictronics. (Only dots on display, without any number or letter)
Other Thoughts:Good price for test some motherboards. You can see the manual, but, this show only the BIOS report number. You also see from the BIOS brand this report. AMI, Phoenix and Award not same wrong codes!!!.
Bottomline:Good! Price so great! Fast to ship! PS: Im in Brazil! I thought it's spend much more time to arrive here!!! I'm still in shock with this morning when it's already arrived. :)
