Pros:Pros:- Very easy to use.- Very easy to install.- Very easy to understand- Best way to control a noisy fan.
Cons:Cons:- Best job for 1 fan, for multiple fans, maybe not the best there is.- None more that I can think of right now.
Other Thoughts:Nothing really. Just works for what its made for.
Bottomline:Bottomline.I think if you just need a simple fan control. This is the one you need. If you have more then 2 or 3 fans to control, I wont use this. You'd better can take a big one to controll them all. But if you looking at 1 or 2 fans, definatly a must to get!

Really works - been using it over 8 months

Pros:- If you have a loud and noisy CPU fan, be sure to buy this voltage controller - its a real investment!- Having the third RPM detector wire, you can adjust the rotation of the fan in real-time by using the PC BIOS.- Simple to use, rotate knob to increase or decrease fan's rpm.
Cons:None!
Other Thoughts:I took apart the knob from the adjuster (just pulling it from the metal bracket will do the trick) This way, I'm not using a PCI slot but a small hole I found at the back of my case.Using the same screw which held it to the metal bracket, you can use it to attach it to the PC case. This way it's closer to the CPU fan, having a neater job.
Bottomline:Buy it and make your pc silent.

Good product

Pros:Does what is stated. Comes in retail package. Cheaper, solutions from local PC shops approximate 4x the price! The cord to the fan is very long so should reach the fan in most situations.
Cons:The PCI plate is blue colored, however most PC's have silver covered PCI plates. No instructions included. Only comes with 3 pin plug, no adaptors supplied.
Other Thoughts:You basically plug the first cable into the power supply and the second cable plugs into the fan. Some users have commented that the button is too wide to fit through the PCI plate gap in the rear of the computer. You can easily slip the knob off the PCI plate. Once you do this it should be easy to install the plate.
Bottomline:PCI Plate 3x FAN Controller (3pin)http://www.dealtoworlde.com/details.DTW/sku.13987~r.22417873

Pros:These things are so useful and so good that I have to two these of these, one for each of my computer. They work like a dream, and make my computer quieter so now I can hear myself think at work.
Cons:None known really, they do the job that it was intended to, althought I wouldn't of mind of getting the that actually has the full docking system so I could hear the CPU temp etc. so therefore lack of functions, but it does the job.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline:Get it now if you want to take control of your computers fan speed.

Cheap and does its job

Pros:- Very cheap- Does its job quite well
Cons:- The whole thing is too big. For whatever reason the backplate itself is too big to fit properly in a standard case; I had to totally mutilate mine to make it fit. The knob is way too big as well. Fortunately, it's detachable, so you can install the plate without the knob, and retach the knob afterwards.
Other Thoughts:- No voltage regulation, zero heatsinks, it's just a potentiometer attached to a pci cover plate. Very simple, yet effective.
Bottomline:You get what you pay for. The build quality is crappy and the whole thing is so simple you'd put one together yourself very easily. But the thing is, you couldn't even buy the potentiometer for the $2.69 this thing costs. And it does its job.
