| Pros:-Build quality is ok, though the solderind work is awful.-Good runtime.-It doesn't get hot even on high mode.-Two holes in the tailcap to add a lanyard and still be able to tail stand. | |
| Cons:-The high mode is direct driven and pulls only 1'4A with a fresh 18650 so you will only get half power and brightness from the MC-E LED.-The bezel is strongly glued so you can't dissasemble all the pieces.-It doesn't come with a lanyard (my case) as you could expect by the pictures.-All the soldering work on this light seem to be performed by a drunk monkey. | |
| Other Thoughts:Direct drive the MC-E with one 18650 is a waste of time as well as money. I replaced the led on mine with a Q5 as I will use the MC-E with a proper circuit board to get all it's brightness. | |
| Bottomline:Seek for the SKU 16501, I guess it's far brighter than this. | |
Exceeded expectations |

| Pros:This is my first serious LED flashlight, and it did not disappoint me. The light is extremely bright and caught the attention of both of my neighbors to either side of me. One neighbor, an avid outdoorsman, was shocked at the amount of light being given off for its size, saying that this flashlight was brigher and threw further than the large handheld spotlights he uses while fishing or hunting. The beam pattern and amount of throw seems to be similar to the DBS, based on available beamshots, at about 1/3 the price. The beam has good spill and lights objects quite brightly at a 100 yards away. The build quality is surprisingly solid. The threads are smooth and well-constructed. The clicky has a good feel to it.The beam color is a very cool white, that develops a slight greenish tint on low. | |
| Cons:It is not digitally regulated, as the brightness decreases over time. | |
| Other Thoughts: | |
| Bottomline:I highly recommend this light. Based on available specifications, pictures and beamshots, it is similar to the DBS in size, performance and build quality, for a lot less. | |
