One of DX's very best

Pros:This light is an exceptional value. It is solidly built, it sports versatility in its acceptance of different batteries, it can be completely dis-assembled with ease for those who want to mod it, and it has been completely reliable over the two years I've had it.This is the kind of light you want to have around for emergencies.
Cons:The ONLY con is that the width of the tube into which the pill is inserted is wider than the typical P-60, and there don't seem to be any upgrade/drop-in options available on DTW for this light to keep it up with the advance in brightness of new LED's.
Other Thoughts:A simple sleave with threads inside and out will allow P-60's to be dropped in, but it seems you will have to machine your own if that's the way you want to go.Too bad DTW doesn't offer one. That would make this light the best of the best in this incredibly low price range.
Bottomline:This is the light to buy for anyone who wants a basic, affordable, reliable, and versatile torch. The stuff in American stores for double and triple the price can't touch it.

Pros:I was instrumental in the purchase of over 200 of the Romisen-K4 lights at my place of employment and personally. I searched and personally purchased several different lights over a 2 year period and tested them in our industrial environment. This light held up to my personal test and surpassed all of the others by a wide margin. At 150+ lumens the light was outstanding up close and for spotting at 30 yards. It will shine much farther. The initial purchase of 50 lasted very well. The quality of the the machined threads and seal are very good. It compares equally if not surpassing similar lights in the $100 range. We have purchased about 200 of the Trustfire 2600mah 18650 batteries and over a dozen Ultrafire chargers. Only 1 battery and 1 charger have failed out of the group.
Cons:Or 2nd purchase came in as the "blue" models instead of black. In 2 years we have had about 35 emitter failures and about 85% have been of the "blue" 2nd order. We had 2 fail within 24 hours. Most don't totally go out but the output drops out to VERY dim and makes it unusable.
Other Thoughts:The triple a battery case that comes with them breaks fairly easily. This can be delayed considerably by wrapping the holder with a piece of scotch tape to minimize battery movement in the holder. It would be great if the screw in emitter module could be purchased assembled. We purchased emitters thinking it was the assembly and received only the emitter itself for over 50% of the cost of the whole light.
Bottomline:Overall, they are a great value.

Pros:Bright, although not listed on DTW, Romisen rates it about 160 lumens. This would make a good emergency flashlight as it takes either 3 AAA, 2 CR123A or 2 RCR123 (16340) or 1x 18650 battery. The brightness seems to be fairly similar on any battery combination. Single mode tail clicky works well. Light has decent spot with usable spill.
Cons:Single mode tail clicky does not have a tactical momentary press. Clicky switch protrudes from the cap causing an unstable tailstand. Lanyard hole attachement make this even less stable to tailstand.
Other Thoughts:I have 3 AAA in mine as this combination puts less pressure on the tailcap spring. Long term use of the longer 18650 or 2x16340 may compress the spring to where the 3 AAA battery carier may not work without stretching the spring.
Bottomline:Impressive value. Extremely good build quality for the money. Very bright. I may buy a few more of them for gifts.

Pros:Good Runtime on AAA rechargeables, light output is ok, not comparable with other Q5 lights rated at 250 lumen. I would estimate about 100-120 lumen for ths flashlight. Being AAA powered, its even a good thing. Current drawing is about 0.6A on fresh rechargeables, which is pretty good, giving an acceptable runtime. The led isn't mounted on a fixed module like ultrafire ones, it's on its aluminium module, screwed into the flashlight. So, you can use this also as a "candle mode" flashlight, unscrewing the top reflector will not affect the flashlight's usage.
Cons:I've got two of these, with two different bins. One was a little brighter, with a cold light. Another one was less bright, with a warmer light output. Contact on the switch system is not that good, if you don't screw it completely you aren't going to get any light out.
Other Thoughts:It's single mode, which makes this FL easy to use, without any useless modes.
Bottomline:Good price, enough light for most uses, accepts many batteries in. Long runtime even on AAA's.

Pros:Great little light. O-rings at ev'ry joint, including the lens. Nees a little bit of grease to prevent squeeking when screwing or unscrewing. Good clicky. Can use 3 kind of batteries.
Cons:None that I can think of.
Other Thoughts:I modded this torch by dropping in SKU 11836. I had to make some mods to fit it in, but now the light's much more owerfull then it already was. Burns for about 25 minutes on CR123 rechargeables. Torch gets rather hot if burning continuously. But he, it's as bright as day with this mod. And I need to be able to blind people with it. So I'll switch batteries a little more often.
Bottomline:Good torch, with or without the SKU 11836.
