Pros:I was very excited to get this light and it did not disappoint. This light is a thrower and very bright.
Cons:I have only had this light less than a week and it is already having problems with very little run time. The brightest setting just shuts off after only being on for 5-20 seconds. It also arrived without a strap.
Other Thoughts:I think this light has the potential to be a favorite. After DTW helps me work out the kinks. I have the ultra fire 800, and the Aurora sh-44 is much brighter. I am just hoping DTW will get back to me soon.
Bottomline:Worth a try if DTW works out the kinks. Seems to be well built. If anyone has any ideas on helping fix my problem I would appreciate the help.

very bright and hot

Pros:very good build quality. stand on its tail. very good thrower with less flood. the deep SMO reflector does a good job! near the same output like the UF-1500. the UF-1500 is a little bit stronger at 40 meter has a bigger spot and more flood.
Cons:very hot. after 11 minutes up to 50 degree celsius at high by room temperature of 22 degree celsius.
Other Thoughts:maybe all flashlights with P7, MC-E, SST-50 has same or similar driver (2.6 - 2.85A). to protect overheating this is a good choice. but how much brighter would be the SST-50 driven at 5 ampere???
Bottomline:perfect for mount on bycicle. perfect for lightning a room because it stands on its tail.
