Pros:Mine is sounding FANTASTIC. at first, upon plugging it in, I got TERRIBLE feedback, which meant it was VERY sufficiently powered by a standard computer microphone. after turning my speakers down, I recorded a few things, and the left and right channels where VERY nicely separated. has excellent stereo reproduction. sounds as good as the genuine thing.
Cons:feels a bit lighter than the real thing, but that's not totally a con. Other than that, nothing I can really think of.
Other Thoughts:I have a feeling it wont actually work on an iPod, as they record with a tri-band 3.5mm jack. I'll have to try that out someday.
Bottomline:It's a fantastic stereo mic. very efficient even in lower powered Mic inputs, and VERY clean stereo.

Sure looks like the official one

Pros:Mine has the S0nY logo on the front, and it sure looks exactly like the ECM-DS70P.. It is in fact a dual condenser mic, and works VERY well with my M-audio microtrack (which supplies the voltage needed for condenser microphones) Maybe I got lucky, but mine seems to have a great dynamic range, voices sound good, not tinny
Cons:At this price? None.
Other Thoughts:I don't have an official mic to check side by side, but it seems like this may be lighter than the official S0ny mic - but it still sounds good...I imagine plugging this into an unpowered microphone jack would have less than stellar results...
Bottomline:If you know your device needs condenser mics, you're good to go with this
