Pros:As stated on the DTW website: it ought to work with my cell phone, a Nokia 2630. It's faster than bluetooth. If you do not have bluetooth, but a cell phone compatible with this cable (the CA-50), it will help you to export and backup the contents of your phone, or to upload ringtones or background images, or even software.Works with the Nokia PC Suite.
Cons:The intelligence is in the cable! When you disconnect the phone from the cable, but leave the cable in your USB port of the computer, your software will think your cell phone is still connected. The software on the mini-CD is trial software. However: you do not need to use it, not even to get your phone connected with the computer.
Other Thoughts:You need to connect the cable to the computer (not to the phone yet) and insert the mini-CD in your CD-ROM drive. Install the drivers and start Nokia PC Suite. Skip the connection wizard and goto "settings", choose "manage connections". Now select the serial cable (yes, really, not the USB) and click on the wrench symbol. Tell the suite that your connection is at ComX, where X is a number greater than 4 (for real RS232 interfaces). Mine is at Com8 at the first USB port and at 9 (I had to tell Nokia PC Suite again) when I connected the cable in the second USB port.
Bottomline:When I would buy this cable in a local store, I would pay somewhere around 12 euro's. Now I pay 3. I don't mind to wait for a few days when I save a couple of bucks!

Excellent value

Pros:Nokia says there's no data cable for my mother and my sister mobile, an 1650... dealtoworlde says yes... who's tells the true?dealtoworlde. The cable construction quality is as good as original, and works OK. You must install de Driver that comes in the little CD and then search for the correct software (now again nokia gives no help at all). Now my mother can listen to "Nino Bravo" everytime the phone rings.Thank dealtoworlde!
Cons:Software in the cd are trial versions...
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline:Good option.

Pros:Good USB cable for connect mobile phone to PC. Built quality of the cable is good than I though, look decent.Come with a mini-CD with driver and software for many brand phone(Nokia, Samsung, Sony...)
Cons:Almost software from CD is Trial, mean you must buy the software to continue using it after 30 days, and some can't recognize my phone after install driver and connected.
Other Thoughts:If you got the driver and software to connect your phone, this cable is great if you lost yours
Bottomline:good USB cable. useless CD-ROM
