| Pros:-small and inconspicious.-arrived with no obvious damage or missing components. All cables checked out to be working OK. Can be wired to playback videos/pictures/audio on either TV or computers. -I am presently running it with a 16GB SDHC card for memory storage, but it supposedly can handle up to 32GB. This is useful when running with 720x576 pixel resolution.-Has limited integrated flash storage (256megs),which is still sufficient to allow buyers a chance to set-up parameters and run a few short evaluation videous before purchasing a costly high-capacity SD card.-Can be run without installing the software on supplied CD, as no drivers are required.LCD display is tiny but bright and crisp. | |
| Cons:-the record slider switch binds and requires strong fingernail pressure to activate. Feels like it might easily snap right off.-the vibration mode on/off menu screen options are listed backwards!-The biggest problem on my unit is that the battery compartment cover is a bound-up friction fit. I spent over 30 minutes to carefully remove it without causing damage. There is no area large enough on the tiny unit to obtain the required firm grip without risking crushing damage to the screen, buttons, or the case itself.This is a very serious problem since subsequent removal attempts have proven to be just as difficult and time-consuming..it has not freed up even a little.-Really Quirky-focusing is achieved by turning the threaded-on buttons to implement the equivalent to pin-hole focusing. This is not explained in the user manual and the initial blur could easily be misconstued as a camera defect. | |
