| Pros:The reciever has a manual tuner, so that makes it that bit more useful for other applications. This has already paid for itself where I work. Shoplifters beware! | |
| Cons:The camera isn't very well hidden and as others have stated, the 9v battery hangs out the back. This isn't an issue if you're using the AC adaptor. | |
| Other Thoughts:The supplied power adapters are for 110v, and the system is NTSC (I knew all that before I bought it). Get 2 cheap 9v power adaptors and it will work fine. | |
| Bottomline:Really good picture quality for the price. Excellent value for money. | |
great spy/nanny cam for the price |

| Pros:First, I haven't checked the audio- it isn't important for my application. If it is anything like the video it should be great. I have gone through a half dozen wireless nanny cams and they were all disappointing. This camera has as good video for 1/3 the cost. I noticed one reviewer said the range maxes out at 100ft. Maybe, but as a nanny cam I am connecting it to a recorder in a closet 15ft away for which it works perfectly. the pinhole is visible, but you have to be looking for it. the camera can run on 9volt but the batt hanging off the back is more suspicous than using the AC adaptor- not unreasonable to plug a clock in | |
| Cons:so far, none. | |
| Other Thoughts:hiding the pinhole for the camera better would be nice. i have seen some place it somewhere on the face, this one is in the base. Also, being able to power the cam by 9 volt is cool, but why not make the body slightly bigger so the 9volt can be inside? probably because it was added as an afterthought. | |
| Bottomline:for less than $50 you can have what costs $100 retail and in many cases with higher quality | |
Mixed feeling on this one, to be honest... |

| Pros:I bought this out of curiousity really. I don't have anyone that I want to spy on, but I really like the idea and it wasn't too expensive to take a punt on it, so I duly parted with my cash and tried it out.Like an idiot, I didn't check the voltages on the two power-packs that came with it, and fried them on UK 240v supplies. D'oh - I'm just so used to all DTW items coming with dual voltage supplies that I got lazy and didn't check. Thankfully, the supplies acted as a fuse and didn't damage either the transmitter or receiver unit, but I was still left without a power-source for these.I found another power supply to use at home and connected the camera up to a 9v battery (even though the camera is only rated for 8v it all appears to work swimmingly anyway). The image quality is what I expected, mediocre and the range is kind of lousy as well. About 100ft through walls is about as much as you can expect.Tuning it in wasn't the easiest thing either and the correct orientation of the receiv | |
| Cons:No 240v power adapters included, so make sure you have access to a configurable wall-wart supply, which should work fine.Reception had to get good.Picture quality mediocre.Build quality of clock is not the best. | |
| Other Thoughts:It's still a cheap way into spying, so you shouldn't discount buying one of these. It's probably as good as equipment you'd pay over £100 in the UK. | |
| Bottomline:If you really need to spy on someone, you could check this out - just expect to do a little experimentation with it. I didn't take my time with the unit and almost destroyed it before I started, so don't do what I did!. | |
