Pros:I love this drop-in! It's the highest more efficient version (R2) of this led (XR-E), it's being sold for a good price, and it's in the right size (P60) not to mention it's a single mode version so no strobes to deal with.What's not to like!
Cons:There are no cons for this product as far as I'm concerned.
Other Thoughts:I wanted to build a P60 sized dedicated "thrower" and needed the led with the greatest surface brightness (XR-E) in the best bin (R2). It being available in the single mode version was perfect since for a thrower I'm not going to use it on anything but high anyway.
Bottomline:For throw there is nothing better than a XR-E R2.

Pros:I have two older R2 dropins that have modes and jumped on this one when it came out. It fits perfectly into my 6P body and shines nice and bright. It is a great thrower that I use nightly for tracking my dogs and looking for stuff in and around the house. Build quality is good, no obvious issues on the unit I received.
Cons:Not really a con, but you might have to wrap it in copper tape or foil to get good thermal conductivity.
Bottomline:A great replacement for the original SF dropin. It is a thrower, so if you want flood look elsewhere.

Pros:This R2 module is incredibly bright and about half the price before shipping of the next cheapest R2. This module is much brighter, and throws further thant the stock LED module in my Surefire G2Z.
Cons:The circular pattern is a little jagged compared to other R2 modules I have seen. The solder on the bottom is messy, but I didn't buy the module for looks.
Other Thoughts:Fits perfectly in my Surefire G2Z, without the large spring.
Bottomline:Buy this module if you want a brighter light than the stock Surefire at a fraction of the price.

Pros:Nice drop-in module, it fits my Surefire G2 perfectly, the light is very bright and white, 5000k circa, the beam is clean and without shadows.
Cons:It is necessary to remove the external spring otherwise it will not fit.On the other hand it is an easy job, it can be done in three seconds.
Other Thoughts:The perfect drop-in to replace the useless stock Surefire halogen bulbs...I'm very happy as this is the first DTW experience and it it has been a good experience.
Bottomline:I'm very satisfied by this item.I am buying another one of these, to keep as a spare part.

Pros:WOW - great drop in for the Surefire flashlights. I have two Surefire Flash lights and was very pleased with the enhanced performance of the drop in units. Whiter/brighter than the old Surefire units maybe it will draw the batteries down faster but that is an unknown. For now I am pleased with by purchase.
